Instructional Video
This week in technology we learned how to create an instructional video using Windows Movie Maker. No we didn't have to hire a movie production crew to help us. Instead we used help from the internet with still images and movie clips. This is where movie maker comes into play, it is a program that adds special features to slides such as movement, sounds and transitions to make it look and feel like a movie. I can really see myself using this in my future classroom because it is another way students can show their mastery of a subject by creating a minute or two movie.
Below you will find the video I created for a Second grade, math lesson. The video is covers money as a medium of exchange. The video I created can you be used as a visual and audio representation of a word problem. I would used this video in a learning center, where the students can control the pace of the video. In case a student needs to repeat a scene from the video.
